If you’ve ever had a small enclosure or terrarium pet you will oftentimes see them drag off bits of prey or food you give them to some preferred spot or hidey-hole, this is in their instinct to want to either stay hidden, comfortable, or with a good view to look out for rivals or predators.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is it sometimes difficult to start doing what one enjoys?
39·9 months agoDepression. I’m on an extreme version of this. I used to be a big-time gamer, one of my favorite pastimes. But haven’t sat down to play anything for more than several minutes ever since the middle of last year, been through grief, a breakup, a stint of homelessness, a layoff, even more family drama, and losing basically all personal connections and ways with which I feel I can cope. So yeah depression can make you not want to do a thing another version of you enjoys doing.
The “it” and using the same pictures twice, one on top of the other, really makes this one

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Should "Bad People" deserve a respectful burial?
13·1 year agoWhen they tossed the corpse of Osama Bin Laden into the sea, it wasn’t just because no country’s soil would take him, but to respect his religion, where in Islam cremation is considered a desecration. So they showed him the respect of a burial at sea, even though he was our enemy.
