Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you could have one small thing as a superpower. What would it be and why?English
1·2 years agoProps to you for coming back to this. Totally understand your incredulity to this if you thought it was some fad or weightloss diet though haha!
This makes me very sad as I’ve just got the new Sync for Lemmy client and can’t use it for my main. :(

Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Guide: Write cool posts and comments with Markdown for newbiesEnglish
1·2 years agoI use VS Code with a few markdown extensions to write my longer, more complex posts. It gives a preview in real time. The extension “markdown all in one is” awesome.

Sync for Lemmy@lemmy.world•I'll pay 15x more for Sync if it's Open-SourcedEnglish
1·2 years agoLJ is considering a sub for premium features of Sync for Lemmy (which I’m against, would much rather just buy the app outright). With that in mind, I can see him open sourcing this application.
Nor should he. FOSS is great, but not all apps need to be FOSS, and not all developers can afford to work for free / donations.
Sync for Reddit is a very popular Reddit client. This is the Lemmy version.
Can somebody ELI5 this to a normal tech person who is aware of the RISC5, but has no idea why everyone is so excited about this?
