You need to search for the fix. Done it myself once. I believe there are executables for this. EA messed up their launcher when the remade it a while back. One of the things that need fixing is getting the correct font on your device. It’s pretty fucked up.

Linux gaming is a little hit or miss. Some games have a performance boost. Some are about the same. And some games perform worse. This is the reality. And this is what should be expected.

Your post is still true for your specific hardware and this specific game, with these specific drivers, but let’s not go crazy here. Linux is good, yes. Fantastic even, on the Steam Deck. On PC most people are better off sticking with Windows, especially if you play a couple of competitive multiplayer titles. Or if you want to stream games from one device to another in house. Or if you have limited time and just want shit to work. Linux is getting closer, but the out of the box experience need to become way better and I don’t doubt it will sooner rather than later.

I’m very interested in how anything could be worse. I’m so happy a company bought ActBlizz. Might turn this ship arround just a little bit

There are free pc games as well, and paid ones. Free movies, and paid ones. Heck you can probably get a car for free, but most people prefer to pay for one. You can use the free apps all you want.

No. Its the beta. You can opt in through the pinned comment. No official launch yet. But it works soooo good!

I deleted all. If I’m keeping anything it’s Voyager, but I waited too long for this to keep other apps arround. It’s just so good. Very nice work Ruben.

Yeah the app just looks and feels so good that the ad free option was an instant buy for me. Didn’t even scroll before I made purchase. \o/

When I press install it wants me to enter my password. When I’m back to press Install nothing happens. Whaaat.

Edit: works after about 45min. Patience ain’t easy.

Nice writeup! Glad you liked it even tho it won’t be your daily driver. Post layout is the most important to me and that’s why I dig Voyager a lot. Not much comes close. Also I can’t stand small jitter when scrolling and I have that on most other apps except Sync, but I can’t use that app with the (imo) horrible monetization choices. Let’s all hope Boost does a lot right when the Rocket actually arrives!

It’s really great. The Android look has been arround since the first week of Reddit mess or even earlier, feels like forever. Even if I’m waiting for Boost I’m not even sure I’ll swap to Boost when it laumches. App has to be damn good for me to trade this mouse space suit for a Rocket!

How is Voyager not in your top 3? I know there are a lot of good apps and I’ve also tried “all” but for me Infinity and Eternity just had annoying bugs where the UI froze in wierd positions.
