I live nearby where this happened.

As a side note, local authorities have been closing down a lot of shops and restaurants in the aftermath. Safety practices and building codes are basically never followed, local authorities are bribed left and right to look the other way.

The whole state is trying to catch up on years of buildings without permits, inspections, etc.

I’m not from the US so I’m not seeing any of the repercussions first hand (yet…).

It’s so surreal to be honest. We were always sold the image of a USA where everyone was well off.

Not trying to say I don’t understand. I fully get what’s happening, that it’s fucked up and people are suffering. It’s just like watching an illusion break apart.

Yeah, it probably would be pills of some kind to me. Honestly the only thing stopping me is that I somehow fuck it up and end up trapped in my own body.

Would be happily retired otherwise
