it’s shitty to complain about something because you are not its target audience
But I am it’s target audience? I like comics, I’m discussing a well known brand of comic, in a public comic forum. Negativity is not shitty, perhaps if you don’t like it perhaps you can just downvote and move on? Or perhaps there merit to negative discussions?
Slop, by definition, can’t be OG
Of course it can, it’s OG slop, slop from the old days. Like soap operas, OG television slop. You’re taking the “original” too literally.
I don’t think they are, they lack substance and often have the most bottom of the barrel of low hanging fruits as “jokes”. Cheaply made slop.
Those comics are slop

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your opinion on communism?English
123·23 days agoIn theory? Pretty good. In the Marx-written demands of the Communist Party, it emphasizes democracy, education, and equality.
I would gladly vote for a communist with similar policies.

12·2 months agoLike… you REALLY telling on your ass if you think the steam forums are something anyone should want more of.
idk man I only use them when a game isn’t gaming right and there’s usually some posts about how to get the game to game correctly, sometimes even posts by the devs, let’s not pretend it’s *all* /v/ shit

1·2 months agoYeah but I would have to bootstrap myself on Android first to get an ios devkit :(
Although I have also considered cornering the Mac gaming market for basically the same reasons

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Are there actually any good mobile games?English
12·2 months agoA dream of mine is to make good mobile games, no ads, just a single low purchase. Realistically it just wouldn’t be economically viable at all unless there is a free version with ads. But also realistically most mobile gamers aren’t using a controller and touchscreens suck.

buddy idk what you’re doing on steam but the worst I get are youtube tier, which can sometimes be Stormfront tier but not higher than that on average.

Games@lemmy.world•Everyone thinks the Deus Ex remaster looks awful and they're right: 'They really turned those 1999 graphics into 2003 graphics'English
2·2 months agoEnhanced Edition is by far the best way to play System Shock, it’s controls are a little mouse centric, but the mouse pad on the steam deck should be plenty suitable for mouse things like playing an audio log. Other than that, EE lets you control it like a typical FPS and you can bind controls for switching weapons and whatnot to avoid the UI
If you want to play System Shock, the OG or EE is the only way to get the real experience, IMO the remaster sanded away many of the parts that made it unique (while adding some that make it less unique, like a crafting system for some reason?) to the point that it kinda loses its identity

1·2 months agoSteam deck has the mouse pad, no? Still not as good as a real mouse, but the one on my steam controller was the perfect bridge for playing mouse games with a controller.

6·2 months agoThe Enhanced Edition for System Shock makes it perfectly suitable for anyone used to FPS controls, the “remaster” changes so much that it is hardly the same game.

Yet here we are, having a discussion about it. Eventually there will be something low effort, and it will be called low effort, that’s not inflammatory. Negativity is not abuse.
