In Italy it is often done that newcomer deals are given when you insist or threaten to leave. Sometimes without even that, and some will just unregister you and register you back to get those offers by just asking.

Retro networking is a different community, and all is still done behind a modern router. They are a subset of the retro computing community, but they don’t run such systems as their daily driver.
Most of the legacy OS enthusiasts running on as their daily driver are not interested in matching their networking to be period correct, they just want it to work well and quickly like everybody else. For that you need basic modern equipment, that is often included into ISP plans.
Stellantis had a disastrous 2024. This is mostly a joke as they are still a massive company, but you understand losing 70% of profits in a year is quite the drastic thing for one.
Your car is not gonna vanish, but Stellantis had a disastrous 2024. It is a conglomerate, so if the top fails every company under it does too.

184·4 days agoThat’s not how it works, especially since everyone doing this is behind a modern router.
Nothing will happen if you have a Windows 98 computer connected to the internet when the home internet router is on default settings. And modern internet browsers implement security in themselves on systems they still support.
Firefox still supports Windows 7 via the ESR channel, and every new install gets redirected to on automatically on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1.
Worry the unsupported systems behind pure internet or providing public internet services, or the users installing the free PDF editor Google advertised as first in search. Those are many more than older Windows enthusiasts.

Isn’t 17 the actual right answer?
SSUPII@sopuli.xyzto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do I always have "dreams" that give me anxiety (aka: nightmares)? Why do I never just get to re-live my happy memories in my dreams? Wtf brain?!? This is outrageous! It's unfair!
4·4 days agoI genuinely never remember dreams. Until one day recently I dreamed of dreaming of my work laptop getting stolen, then waking up (in the dream) and going to work while telling a friend about the internal dream.

Instead what was shown in the livestream was literally Gemini, a product of another company on a €2000 smartphone that doesn’t even use the hardware you pay for.

Gemini gets constantly glazed by the AI enthusiasts community because it often passes benchmarks very well when it is literally one of the worst ones to use.

It was the work one exactly one person. They locked the sub, and the moment someone else unlocked it they kicked all other mods and themself and made it seem like everyone was following him when it was not.
