A European starling called “The Mouth” was able to mimic sounds well enough to reproduce a drawing in the spectrograph:

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As far as I can ascertain, Peter Thiel* is the 103rd richest man on the planet, with a reported net worth of $20.5 bn US. How and why does his influence reach farther than so many others?English
33·6 months agoThose “richest people” lists are based on publicly known wealth, which is almost exclusively public stocks. There is a lot of dark money out there.

I think the engravings on the bullets were intended as a message. It seemed like he expected to be caught with his “manifesto” as well. Not saying that’s sufficient to call it terrorism, but it does show a bit of intent beyond anger/revenge.

The advantage of a straightforward UBI over NIT is that voters are selfish and stupid. If everyone gets a check, they are far more likely to support maintaining and increasing the benefit. It also removes the stigma that would be present for those receiving NIT payments.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Imperialism, authoritarianism and oppression is bad all around m'kayEnglish
184·1 year agoReally though, the level of imperialism apologizing I’ve seen has been pretty humorous on this platform. Like people will say with a straight face that we need to support our client state Israel to secure our regional interests.
Is this being federated from some platform other than Lemmy? Because I have literally never seen someone support that position here.

One of the requirements to make it on the list is:
