From outside their new NY office, you can see a room with We 🧡 A 👁. I guess they keep their ideas. They probably don’t have too many new ones.

6·1 year agoSorry for your loss. I did something similar recently. A script was creating a “~” folder in my notes folder. I wanted to delete it… Thankfully it stopped at some file it couldn’t remove and my dotfiles are in git.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•i'm 40 years old and just had ALL my teeth extracted in one go. The pain is excruciating. Any tips for pain relief?
16·1 year agoI still don’t understand how a lot of our organs evolved to self repair and generally be so sophisticated but our teeth need so much care to avoid pain and infection.
Tartar, béarnaise, aioli, mayo with harissa are my favorites. Can’t believe the top 3 didn’t include mayo.

Firefox@lemmy.ml•Is there a way to disable the "Restart to Keep Using Firefox" page?
2·2 years agoYou can enable saving the tabs when closing Firefox.
It is on and has been for years but I still lose all my tabs regularly.
Is it because of Sync? Container Tabs? I don’t know
If I’m not too mad next time, I will try to find out why I lose them but my instinct is to reopen right away the tabs that I need the most.

Firefox@lemmy.ml•Is there a way to disable the "Restart to Keep Using Firefox" page?
33·2 years agoI have the same issue but I feel the main problem is not this page but the fact that the tabs are lost. I’ve been using FF for so long and I keep losing tabs on updates. It’s really frustrating.
Todo.txt file on my nas synced to my phone and computer. Works great

Linux@lemmy.ml•Fully featured tilling window managers (like DEs) for lazy people
3·2 years agoI think gnome team said they were experimenting with tiling features. I’m looking forward to checking what they came up with.
And soon they’ll be surprised the employees are less and less loyal and blame it on the new generations.
It’s easy to give it a try. You just have to select it at the login screen and see for yourself if you’re impacted by any issue.
Done, thx

18·2 years agoProbably not the goal of the author but I guess this article convinced me that nix/nixOS is not for me.
You don’t have to be exactly on the icon iirc, just on the right most component of the panel.
Ah I see now way you wanted the first extension. Natively you have to scroll on the right part of the panel around the volume icon to change the volume. Not in the middle of the panel

Now every time I see the word smarter from firefox, I’m afraid they’ll add some AI somewhere new. Glad it wasn’t the case here.
