Linux@programming.dev•What are the silliest reasons people have given you for not wanting to try Linux?
1·13 days agoOnce you get arch going it’s super easy with very few issues and just about zero lag and bugs. I’ve been using Linux since 08 and I almost forgot how to install Linux because I’ve been on the same arch install for the last few years and I quit trying to get other people on Linux because I’m tired of sounding like an evangelist and tired of people’s stupid excuses.
I guess I’m jaded.

Hopefully AOC will out shumer (sic) and we can make a start at it
The point is to speak up and demand change. The disposition of blame (or the disproportionate onus of responsibility) should frustrate everyone.

1·2 months agoYeah, come to think of it, by the end of my tenure at 2013 I think I put in the header to advise the user to use a better browser. However, I’m pretty sure eventually, I was overruled on that.

I moved on but regretted not following through. Although it would have been quite awkward when they took over GitHub.

Nice flow chart!

There were a lot of tax write offs through incentives which was a good thing because it actually encouraged rich people and businesses to be proactively productive towards the public good.
So done right, they paid nowhere near the 80%. Of course there was abuse and loopholes.
And off topic and contrary to popular thought, Jimmy Carter was the one who started deregulation in this area. He was trying to get the economy moving again and was taking a “reasonable” approach. Reagan took Carter’s idea and went on a heist with it to enrich buddies and doners
