Hey, props for separating your question and response, though.
I like American music. Do you like American music? I like American music, too.

Oh, you mean browser plugins. I was like, “uh, my immersion blender, I guess”

depends on diet and age / oxidation of the log

The Pope rules for life. If they elect a bad one and he’s seventy, oh well, won’t be long. If he’s thirty… that’s two generations growing up under a bad Pope.

it was a wild few months

Virginity isn’t real.
Sleeping with someone should be about the two of your doing it. Don’t sleep with person A because of your feelings for person B, that’s fucked.

As someone who’s actually had this problem (in an urban area) and actually solved it, here’s what I did: Changed the shape of my fence so the amount of privacy the serial shitter was afforded was significantly reduced. Changed the position of my gate so that it no longer opened near the convex corner the shitter favored. They found a better spot and moved on.
I’m a believer in “found art” and a lover of natural beauty, so I’m gonna say that to me, the brain-feel-good-patterns is closer to the core than craft is. So, art more than content, I suppose.
Eyes aren’t windows to anything. Eyecontact is something most of us are wired to crave, to view as intimate, and it’s a shortcut to feelings of trust and understanding. Salesfolk, public speakers, and con artist are all trained to exploit this to be one more effective.
If you liked RIF you’re gonna like Jerboa.
NB: The jerboa dev is one of the lemmy devs and it works great for lemmy, but it is never gonna support piefed.
re: art vs. content: I’m not sure of the distinction you’re making. Can you explain what you mean?
devices: I prefer high-quality audio equipment but if I don’t have it to hand I’ll listen on what I do have… or just sign out myself
album / playlist: I have favorite albums, I have favorite playlists, but my favorite way to listen is via a nested tree of smart playlists that automatically rotates in music depending on how highly I’ve rated it, how recently it’s been played, and how many times total it’s been played.
Do you ever listen to music just to enjoy it and nothing else?
That is the only way I listen to music.
passion: yes, to the point of getting in trouble with my wife
searching: yes, I spend about a twentieth of my listening time on new music hoping to discover favorites
That’s so cool! I get so frustrated sometimes by the current state of music players and daydream about writing my own, and smart playlists are one of my must-haves.
Check the profile, baby.
Seriously, though, I’d rather be blind than deaf. That’s how much.

It’s mostly the same: discuss in good faith, don’t brigade, votes are for quality not for agreement, fuck spez

Yes, this is true.
I didn’t even pay for bus fare. I biked to work, biked home, and ate leftovers. Suck it, fake corporate holiday!

It’s my real name, and I don’t remember which avatar I have right now but either way it’s from a webcomic.
Are you sorting by “new” or “active”? And if it’s not either of those then there’s your problem.
When people talk about private property, they generally aren’t talking about personal property: your desk, your refrigerator, your home. They mean private ownership of eg. farms, factories, cyclotrons
