I would still take it over 11.

7·3 months agoLuckily part of our body is the brain and some brains are very good at finding solutions to our body’s problems. Break the cycle by getting a decongestant spray, ibuprofen and a neti pot.

6·3 months agoI am still looking for a tool that would capture live streams on YouTube and can automatically resume when connection problems occur. yt-dlp handles the streams well, except it often needs to be restarted for longer running streams, which requires constant attention. Does this „fire and forget“ yt-dlp or does it keep watch over it?

6·3 months agoI would be very surprised if Germany continues to oppose. Our new government is made up of conservatives who believe as long as they do the spying everything is good and nothing can go wrong - and famously spineless social democrats.
Are it my management decisions that are wrong? No, it must be those lazy employees.

Games@lemmy.world•New Valve trademark for 'Steam Frame', looks like we're getting new hardwareEnglish
9·3 months agoGiven the problems SLI and crossfire had with more than one gpu, but in the same system, I doubt even valve would be able to combine different devices in a very meaningful way. The best I can imagine would be a pc rendering a game which is streamed to a steam deck, which in turn throws all its resources on FSR-like upscaling. Or, in case of a VR device that it handles interframe generation and reprojection locally on a stream rendered by a different device.
Of course I would like to be proven wrong.

Technology@lemmy.world•Japanese Power Plant Turns Saltwater Into ElectricityEnglish
46·3 months agoCombine salt and water to create electricity to power a desalination plant that removes salt from water. I am sure there is more to it, but the article sounds like it’s one of those mad perpetual free energy schemes that defy the laws of physics.
