For self hosting I run a separate machine with unraid which basically makes it super simple.
As far as learning Linux its tough because there are so many different ways to do things it mostly depends on what you choose. For desktop I mostly just hit the super key and search for settings or whatever I need, I never really open the terminal except for the one time I needed to disable the thunderbolt reset when connecting my eGPU.
For self hosting its mostly learning about containers whether its podman which I think theres a flatpak in bazaar, or using distroshelf which is preinstalled. Or using a separate machine with something like proxmox, truenas, or unraid.
After that the most you do is go to the application store and tell the container where to save the config files and where to access data, maybe change a port if its already used.
After that you want to setup a VPN to your home with something like wireguard or tailscale
You haven’t even met Jerome how can you call him a joke
I have a airfryer/ dual oven counter top that ibuse pretty much for every meal, I always just toss some veggies like potatoes, carrots, squash, broccoli, etc on the top oven and some protein in the bottom oven and it has a mode so they finish at the same time.
For rice i just use the kettle to heat up the water while I rinse out my rice in a strainer, then pour the water in a pot and toss in the rice, once the water boils I turn it down to low, put the lid on, and set a timer for 18 minutes.
We had a insta pot before and used it regularly then one day it just starts smoking and died, luckily I happened to be next to it washing dishes when it happened so I was able to pull the plug on it quick

The jerk-it notification, its time to go relieve yourself
My dog kills things for sport, she sees and she stomps, her brother is a big baby and just cries whenever she is doing something she shouldn’t. You can’t trust behavior so generally
I always note this stuff down in obsidian so that next time I reinstall the os I know what I did
This was my setup for rapid photo downloader
mnt -> photos -> Photography hit the cog to edit
<Extension (UPPERCASE)>/<Image date (YYYY)>/<Image date (MM)>/<Image date (DD)>
mnt -> photos -> videos hit the cog to edit
<Video date (YYYY)>/<Video date (MM)>/<Video date (DD)>
<Image date (YYYY-MM-DD)>_<Image date (HHMMSS)>_<Camera model (UPPERCASE)><Session number (Four digits)>
<Video date (YYYY-MM-DD)>_<Video date (HHMMSS)>_<Session number (Four digits)>
For dark table import I make the folder structure like this
$(EXIF.YEAR)/$(EXIF.MONTH)/$(EXIF.DAY)
And the rename like this
$(EXIF.YEAR)-$(EXIF.MONTH)-$(EXIF.DAY)_$(EXIF.HOUR)$(EXIF.MINUTE)$(EXIF.SECOND)_$(EXIF.MODEL)_$(SEQUENCE).$(FILE_EXTENSION)
This gets saved to a photos folder on my external drive that also gets sync’d to my nas at home with syncthingy
I used to use photo rapid downloader which was really nice but haven’t figured out how to use it on bazzite
Photo rapid downloader is probably what you want if you are also doing videos. Just make sure you get the destinations and naming setup for both photo and video before doing a big batch
I used to split up my photos by format also but gave that up after I couldn’t get photo rapid on bazzite and just switched to darktable import
Same way I say arch, but without the ch

Wouldn’t it be the same way, you open a port just like Plex, or figure out a reverse proxy. I ran jellyfin for a little while back when Plex used to charge people a fee for using mobile
Have you tried just paying off all your bills in one lump sum
I don’t know why that scene stuck with me, I had to make my wife watch the matrix just so she would get what I was referencing all the time
I just assumed it was vaginal fluid
And they multiply pretty quickly, someone started feeding the parking lot cats at work like two years ago, now we have dozens all over

The war on Halloween has gone too far, now we have 25 straight months of Christmas
Probably filter through a ton of one-time offenders and either automating it or someone just select all and appeal. When I got a ticket for being in the carpool hour of the express lane but not having an express box thing I wrote to appeal since we were carpooling. The response was approved but noting that only the first offense is appealed and further violations won’t be. Sucks for the people that never appealed it because they would have gotten off, its a racket

Yeah its basically like gaming directly on it, I mostly played like 2d platformers and stuff like stardew or graveyard keeper that could run off the igpu
