Is that an XKCD, what number is it?
I thought it was common knowledge; he donated to some anti-LGBTQ political campaigns in the US which ultimately lead him to resign from Mozilla and start up his own browser. Which is good enough reason in my opinion to avoid it regardless of what ever else might be good about Brave.

Why the surprise? My first thought on seeing this was there must be a lot of Australia or New Zealand answers due to the relative geographic isolation of Australia and New Zealand in relation to the rest of the first world.

I’m the reverse of you actually, as a child it never occurred to me that you could just build the mouse trap without playing the game. So I exclusively played it properly and now I feel a bit stupid.

Yes, you really need to rewrite that constitution of yours and declaring something “unconstitutional” doesn’t win you an argument, it makes you look like a brainwashed idiot. Just saying.

If it puts your mind at rest, I’ve only just heard about it now.

Also “I can’t get through to them, they must be on the internet”
I don’t distrohop much these days because I’m happy with where I am. But I actually enjoy having a clean start once in a while; going back and experiencing the defaults for a time helps clarify which customisations are actually really useful and which ones I’m just stuck in a rut with which happens a lot more than I usually expect. Of course I back up all my data/media and move that across, but configurations I like to approach with a clean slate. It’s quite freeing to know that I can just wipe and reinstall my system at any time without much difficulty.
Terrible that you’re being downvoted for this while, currently, the top upvoted comment is someone boasting about having two cars.

And the fact that people flock there despite that is a way I feel more and more distant from humanity…

As far as I can tell they’ve still not released the source code (correct me if I’m wrong) so everyone should stay away from them.

The only way I’ve worked out how to even save Instagram images locally is using the page information (ctrl+i) Media tab in Firefox and sort through it to find it there. Terrible for an image hosting website.

Lots of red flags about this project, the website seems to be primarily fixated on pointing out how “bad” Thunderbird is, which isn’t a good look. Thunderbird works fine for me, this seems all a bit toxic.

Railway modelling/model railroading?

“If it’s clean enough to put back on your body, it’s clean enough to be put back”
I think I disagree there, clothes that are clean enough to be worn for another day aren’t necessarily clean enough to be stored over a period of time. Think of it like food; there are leftovers that are probably OK to eat the next day but you would probably would want to treat them separately from your fresh food.
The only time I encounter it is when doing image searches for normal things and it seems to exist to make it maximally annoying to search for and download images. If I ever end up on Pinterest it’s just a guaranteed headache.
I guess for me would be 3-4 months in covid lockdown, 2020. I live by myself in proximity to family, but some of that family were vulnerable so I wasn’t taking any chances. Not a nice time.
