I’m a game dev, so I’ll have to at least keep around either a Windows VM or a dual boot system, since Windows is still very popular.
Later on: the employee who does extra work will make the employee who does the bare minimum getting fired, but he doesn’t get a wage increase. He will however complain about “lazy” people like immigrants, the disabled, etc. instead.

As the fediverse becomes more and more of a feasible alternative to corporate social media, it will be inevitable that trolls and spammers will use our platform for malicious things. All we can do is to get better at moderation, maybe somehow bust these farms.

Long term is where things can fall apart. Yeah, currently stuff goes well to Putin, but the moment the Russians realize their emperor is naked, Russia will have a very bad time, with the worst thing that can happen to them is a Balkanization with all of its nastiness.
