I’m paying for a search engine “kagi” just because Google search results have more advertising than time square. It kind of sucks since we got used to search for free but at least I can get relevant results rather than advertising when I search.

I have been trying to make sense of all AI Capex announcements for a while and I don’t get it. So please help me out if you know the answer.
US Investment in 2024 ~$400b, 2025 ~$500b, 2026 ~600. Global investment 2026 1.5~$2.2t. Let’s say $2t US Investment by end of 2026. Investment will continue into the future but let’s assume that is not the case. Also that GPU will be obsolete in 5y. So, they have 60m to recoup $2t +ROI ~10%. So about $40b a month, US has a labor force of 170m. Thus, AI industry needs the equivalent of ~$240 per month per each employee. I don’t see myself or my employer paying this for AI any time soon.

We are in different times. This administration doesn’t care about warrants.

Healthcare is just a way to coerce the working class to produce value for the wealthy. That is the real reason why there is no universal healthcare in America.
You can say the same about any technology advancement. The fire, wheel, black powder, electricity, radio, tv, internet, crypto, AI, etc. The problem doesn’t reside in the technology but in the people exploiting it for evil intentions.
At this point, I’m not completely sure that this administration has really only appointed the most qualified people for those cabinet positions.
The year of of the Linux happened long ago. However we fail to recognize it, because wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. Most super computer is TOP500 as well as servers and majority of portable devices in the world are powered by the Linux kernel.
If the definition of Year of Linux was based on having astonishing UX then, this is probably something that will never happen.

Webserial is only reason I see to install Chrome. For everything else Firefox works great.
An new AMD Laptop APU will outperform Intel in every metric. I can only recommend T14 & T14S but any other Thinkpad will be ok.

I didn’t know they have a veggie patty, but I will try it next week.
You are 👍, nextcloud needs like 2 admin per each user. The snap version works fairly well even after a lot of virtualization layers. Proxmox -> Ubuntu LXC -> Snap -> Nextcloud
Ubuntu was great, until Unity debacle, when I switched to Mint DE. Few years later I returned to an Unity free Ubuntu just to be welcomed with snaps and Ubuntu pro.
The Veggie Craving menu is the only reason I buy Taco Bell. I don’t know of any other fast food with a menu like that.
I used or it used me for a couple of years. Then while looking for a replacement I found the snap version. I installed it in a fresh Ubuntu VM and it just works.

I was wondering the same thing this weekend after watching an absurd number of insurance commercials on each football game.
Can someone list few reputable insurance companies other than the Gecko, Emu and Flo?

Unfortunately this is so true. Even my family believe that I’m weird just because I have brought this concern few times.
This is too big for a bike, but I self host Traccar, and installed Sinotrack st901 in my cars years ago. SIM card cost is about 50 cents a month each.
Edit: check Mictrak MT710
