They built something worse and we’re still promoted for it despite it being demonstrably worse. Where’s the lie? They described something complex and techy sounding, did it, and got the promotion anyway regardless of the actual results, proving the results didn’t matter.

1·2 days agoYou going to force companies to provide chargers in their parking lots? Hell, plenty of people have to pay their employees to park their car at work already. You think they’re just going to give free electricity?
And no, my point was we don’t have enough electricity for a full population of evs regardless of when they charge them
It’s pretty rad.

31·3 days agoWe can cover the current population of EV used, but we couldn’t cover the full population of car users on evs. Which means we need to expand our power production.
And given that most people are likely charging at night when production decreases…

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why do vehicle insurance premiums go up & down for seemingly no reason? Should I contact my insurance company to inquire?
4·7 days agoBased on your stats: age, gender, income, education, location, etc etc, you are bundled up with others who share many of those same stats. They average the costs over time that these groups accrue over a period of time + a generous buffer + profit margin in order to come to what they charge you.
You may be moving into different groups or those costs for the group you’re placed in has changed. Thus fluctuations.
When they text you “I’m on my way” and ignore your: please don’ts

12·7 days agoIs… “Physical location of the store you’re currently standing in” considered personal data? Because that’s what is determining the price difference. Real estate prices are not the same in these two places. That changes the costs the store is offsetting.
There’s no way this author didn’t know that was what caused the difference in prices in this example.
What a terrible Way to try to back up your point.
